Fantastic news for our Indian students and graduates! IndiGo Airlines is now hiring direct entry First officers for their A320/321 fleet!

InterGlobe Aviation Limited, (or simply “IndiGo”), is a leading Indian low-cost airline headquartered in Gurgaon. It is the largest airline in India by passengers carried and fleet size, with approx. 55% domestic market share as of 2023. It is also the largest individual Asian low-cost carrier in terms of jet fleet size and passengers carried, and the fourth largest carrier in Asia. The airline operates 1,600 daily flights, as of November 2022 to 101 destinations – 75 domestic and 26 international. It has its primary hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. So, what do you need to become a First Officer for IndiGo? Eva has surprised many applicants by keeping their FO requirements much lower than usual. Eva is currently asking for candidates with the following aeronautical credentials and experience. (See IndiGo Website details here). The following application requirements are set for the Indian First Officer direct entry candidates: Minimum Total Flight Time : 2000 hrs including min PIC hrs of either 800 hrs on transport category multi engine jets OR 1300 PIC hrs on transport category multi engine turbo prop. Glass Cockpit experience will be preferred. DGCA/ICAO full, unrestricted ATPL License Min Total Flight Time : 2000hrs Indian nationality How much will you get paid? IndiGo is offering competitive remuneration package, including: From the first operation flights, FO will receive full salary starting from approx. ₹23,00,000 per annum ($30,000 USD), after tax. Salary will be upgraded to ₹42,50,000 per annum for senior first officers, and up to 97,00,00 for Captain. progression from FO to SFO to CA takes 3-4 years, on average. *(All salary data is approximately and subject to change) How to obtain these qualifications? There are several ways to obtain such qualifications and experience. To obtain, specifically, the aforementioned licensing and experience for IndiGo First Officer direct entry program, including a full ICAO ATPL, 2000 hours TFT we recommend our  FPAP-IND (for Indian students) program. This programs in Canada can afford the enrolled students an opportunity to build extensive flight time by using the PGWP (post-graduate work permit) after completion of the study period for employment as flight instructors on propeller aircraft; followed by CEC (Canadian Experience Class) application for employment permit in the Canadian airlines as First Officers.
